Last night before A and Z went to bed I was reading from a book that Alec had borrowed from the school library. He has had an interest in books about space lately, and this book was about the planet Uranus. Interestingly the book claimed the temperature at the outer surface of the clouds on that planet is 350 degrees below zero Fahrenheit. When you think about that, it makes 20 below seem mild, and makes us wonder at the comforts of life we enjoy though living in such an inhospitable universe.
We should be thankful each day we are allowed to live in comfort and peace. The world is an extremely dangerous place, and only the Lord can sustain it in times of violence and it is He who allows peace to be possible.
“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word” (Hebrews 1:3).
